About

I was born on 27th September in a city called Stoke-on-Trent found right in the heart of England. Stoke-on-Trent is about a 30 minute train ride from Manchester City, one of my favourite places.  

In earlier days at the age of 16 I was a farm worker until changing farming clothes for business clothes and started to work in a record shop. Parallel to this I went to college where I studied English, Law, Music and Sport. I can sing, play trombone, tuba and piano. Music and Sport became and are such an important part of my life that without them I wouldn't be able to breathe.

After leaving Stoke-on-Trent I moved to Manchester entering one of the largest music scenes known in Britain. My love of music lead me to become a singer in a band on the then very vibrant eighties Manchester music scene. After following a musical career along side the likes of Human League, ABC, Simply Red and New Order, I continued to teach Music. I expanded this by working very closely with and at the famous Manchester City Art Gallery which is known for its supportiveness with up and coming artists, whether it be in art or music.

Through sheer coincidence I then moved to Hamburg, Germany in April 1989. During my first few years I did an apprenticeship as a Veterinary Assistant which helped me to learn the German language. After several years in the veterinary field I again decided I needed a change.

Since then, I have worked as PA to the Director of an IT company, worked in insurance, translation and customer support and staff training. I have also covered many other areas of English coaching. The list is long!

Today I combine my passion for sport as a qualified Fitness Trainer and qualified CELTA English teacher and have now formed my own business. And of course there is always music around me!
